13 days before Xmas

Brought Immanuel along for my mani pedi appointment. He was very well behaved and waited very patiently for me. Then his daddy came by and had lunch with us. After that, Immanuel and I went to Paragon to get his cap from Fox Kids but it was sold out.

Spa-sation

Eli is getting to enjoy his morning baths. Sometimes he will coo n ahhh while we are bathing him. If we did a good job he will reward us with a $mile.

The miracle P

I've resorted to giving Eli the P - pacifier at night to help him to sleep. And yes, it works! He could fall back asleep without much fussing n crying. That's what matters to me now.

Chicken rice, Pork Leg Bee hoon & Jasmine flower

We decided to visit grand-aunt Marilyn today as the water supply has been cut off at home due to maintenance works. Lil' Eli is spoiled from all the carrying n pampering. It is good that great-grandma is also there. Great-grandma noticed all the milk rashes all over Eli's face and advised me to rub the sap from jasmine buds on them. I went to the wet market and bought a packet of them at $1 from the flower stall. Hopefully the rashes will clear up soon. Aunty Marilyn cooked chicken rice for lunch and fried pork leg bee hoon for dinner. We are blessed.

Road to recovery

Today I went for my post delivery checkup at 6 weeks. It was found out that I am still suffering from post natal depression. I was advised to go for psychiatric counseling but I think I will wait for another 2 weeks to evaluate the situation. The main contributor is the lack of proper sleep since I am awake in the night for Eli's night feeds and slept only 3 hours in the day. The most scary part is when Eli cries uncontrollably and I could not figure out what was wrong with him. We pray everyday that he would be able to sleep through the night very soon.

6 weeks old and double chinned!

Eli is 6 weeks old today and growing bigger and stronger. He is spotting a double chin too! Which I think it's so cute ..... Only on a baby!

Express yourself - all the time!

Today we decided to come to Ikea to get into the festive mood. Ikea always gives me a very homey cosy warm family feeling with their aesthetic displays. It is even more so during Christmas with all the wintery stuff. I am in their baby room expressing myself so that Eli will have milk to drink later. The baby room is really pretty clean and well equipped. The only thing is there is only one baby room and I will not come here on weekends or public holidays.

Little Shaolin

Today we shave Eli's head as per Chinese custom. It is believed that the new hair will be thicker and fuller. Daddy personally shaved his head just like 6 years ago when he shaved Immanuel's. We kept a lock of both their bb hair as keepsake.

Sleepless nights in Pending

Going through another crying series of Eli. He will usually start his episode from 11pm until 3am. What time will he end tonight? And when will this series end?

Eli's full month celebration - 23 Nov 2013

We celebrated Eli's full month at Jade Palace Seafood Restaurant at Forum Shopping Mall. It was a small and intimate dim sum lunch with family and close friends.

Eli's weekly milestone

Time flies and my bb is growing too fast!

Not sure what happened but my feet suddenly became so swollen that I was so terrified it could be some underlying medical condition. Thank God it went away after 2 days.

Spending time during June school holidays

The haze in SG is so bad that we had to be indoors as much as possible. The PSI was 350 last night. I went for a 2nd scan of ELZ's spine this morning. Now we are at ION Tea Loft revising ILZ Maths.

S-I-M-P-L-Y deLiCioUs!

Had the urge to make a good balsamic vinegar dressing for a salad. Went thro a couple of websites and in the end, decided to try out with what I have inside my kitchen instead of going out to buy more items. Here is what I put together and I think it is awesomely easy & delicious!

Serves One:
1 teaspoon of honey
5 tbsp balsamic vinegar (I use balsamic vinegar from Modena as it is if a better quality)
4 tbsp very good quality olive oil
Punch of sea salt

Just mix or shake everything together and voila! A beautiful dressing to put s smile on any salad serving.
Enjoy!
