On the Reaching the No. 35

I'll be turning 35 in exactly a week's time.I had just finished reading the article URBAN in today's paper. The cover model is ex-top model Hanis Hussey, now 45.The article interviewed several women ranging from mid-30s to forties. It was such a revelation that I decided to interview myself with the same questions.I guess the next time I'll do something like this will be in my sixties. So, feel free and have lots of fun laughing at yours truly!
Q1. How have you changed since your 20s?
I'm more careful with money matters and definitely much more wiser in handling human relationships. I am glad that I value family ties more than keeping friends these days.
Q2. The best thing about being in my 30s is .....
believing that Jesus loves me and does not hold my past sins against me.And being a mom and wife.My lovely son just turned 3 years old and we lived with two wonderful corgis everyday. My darling husband is the best thing that has ever happened to me - if I may swear. Both sides of our families are blessed so everyday is a bliss.
Q3. The worst thing about being in my 30s is .....
dealing with physical beauty related problems like wrinkles, dry, sagging and blemished skin. Not forgetting the eyes area.I'm also concerned with thinning hair although I don't think I'm desperate about it right now.
Q4. I knew I was over my prime when .....
little children naturally greet me "Auntie"! It totally shook me up that day.
Q5. What do you do to maintain your looks?
I try to sleep before 10.30pm every night as I find getting at least 7 hours of sleep helps my well-being in every area.I believe in moisturizer and sun screen for my face and I make sure I drink at least 8 glasses of water every day.Staying humorous and excited about life helps too.
Q6. What is your greatest fear about growing old?
Being sickly and becoming a burden to my family.I really look forward to the day when my son becomes a successful young man in his own way so I can continue to pursue my dreams and interests.
Q7. How do you feel when you catch someone looking at you twice these days?
That would depends on who is that someone. If he is a respectable character then I would feel flattered. But,otherwise I will not give a hoot about it.
Q8. What is the one thing you wish you had done when you were younger?
That I had partied less which means I could have saved more money and invest wisely.
